The Journey

Fifteen years ago, a friendship bloomed quite instantly between two young people who were quite different from each other, in terms of their upbringing, personalities, gender, ambitions, family backgrounds, cities they live in, food habits, and what not! Thanks to the web, it’s easier for people to communicate with anyone, anywhere and at any time! But who would’ve thought, two people completely unknown to each other, without any common links, could trust and understand each other, much more than their family and friends around them could! Despite staying so far away, the bond only grew stronger with time. The few times both traveled to see each other were exhilarating! Thirteen years of fun, sharing one’s happiness and sorrows, fighting like kids and then making up, playing pranks, celebrating occasions, display of emotions, revealing fears, guiding on what might be the right path, and so much more! They’ve had it all, that too mostly via the phone or the internet. And suddenly, they get married! Does this seem unreal? Yes! But it’s true! Sachin and I vow to love and stand by each other for lifetime, after 13 years of pure friendship! To learn and to accept each other as we are; to mould ourselves in little ways to form a perfect union. To do small things for each other, which bring a sparkle to the eye. To give a ear, to always be near, to catch a tear, to dissolve a fear. It’s two years since we’re married! We’ve kept to our vows. Love and trust just keeps growing by the day. Of course those small little hiccups have appeared now and then, which are very natural between two different people staying together; but that’s what enables us to realize even more how much we love and need each other to feel complete! As Sachin claims, “Marriage is a Learning License”, we learn the little things that keep the other happy, adjust with each other’s way of living, learn from our mistakes and try to avoid them again, and most importantly learn to forgive each other. Life is all about the present, living each day as it comes. The past serves as a lesson and brings back beautiful memories too, while the future gives us direction. Just like in school, we used to try working harder to get better results than of the previous term, similarly we have to keep growing as an individual and as a spouse for the better. These two years have given us a strong foundation upon which we can build a life full of love, trust, and happiness. It’s a new beginning, and I feel as excited as I was on the day I got married. Only this time, I’m more confident. I look at you and I know I’m loved, I love the way your arms get me crushed. The warmth you exude keeps me furred; I’ll live forever in your heart deeply immersed.

Aisi apni raat hoti... toh kya baat hoti!

Kitni haseen hai yeh raat tanhayee mein Gar tum bhi saath hote toh kya baat hoti! Teri nasheeli aankhon aur honthon ki surkhiyon se Is dil ki pyaas bujha paate toh kya baat hoti! Jo chand baadalon mein kahin chup jaata Aur hum teri baahon mein sama jaate toh kya baat hoti! Is andheri raat ki gehrayee mein duniya se paraaye Ek duje mein hum tum kho jaate toh kya baat hoti! Bas ab palkon ko jhukaaye yehi sochti hoon Aisi suhaani apni raat hoti toh kya baat hoti!

I Dream of You

Everyday I dream of you, with eyes wide open,
Waitin to run into your arms and hold you tight
I wanna let you know how you keep me alive
And help me sail through the ocean of the night

Our eyes meet and speak a thousand words
They tell the story of our search since birth
Now that I’ve found you, ain’t letting you go
All the time we’ve lost was just not worth

Everyday I dream of you, with eyes wide open,
Waitin to run into your arms and hold you tight
I wanna let you know you’re the meaning of my existence
And it’s only you who can turn the darkness into light

We’re here together to share our joy and pain,
To love, to laugh, to give and forgive
The world might be a crooked and selfish place
But in our own beautiful world shall we live

Everyday I dream of you, with eyes wide open,
Waitin to run into your arms and hold you tight
I wanna let you know my dream’s coming true
I can see the white horse and the shining armor of my knight

Kabhi tum nahi the... kabhi hum nahi the...

Dosti bhi kitni ajeeb hoti hai
Kabhi kabhi zyada kareeb le aati hai,
Woh ek kadam aur aage badhaaye humari ore
Aur hum aage badhne se kathraate rahe

Le aayi kismat humein us mod par
Chalna tha aage unka saath chod kar
Woh phir humari raah pe aaye machaaye hue shor
Mann na maana, bas unhe shant karte rahe

Duniya ghumti gayi, mausam badalte gaye,
Woh humse khafa the, hum bhi rooth gaye;
Lekar kisika payam woh phir dastak dene aaye
Khud pighalkar is baar, hum unhe manaate rahe

Waqt phir badla, taqdeerein bhi badal gayi,
Jo thi kahani unki, ab dastaan humari ban gayi;
Woh na samjhe ishaaron ko dil ka darwaza bandh rakhe hue
Hum bas nigaahon se haal-e-dil bayaan karte rahe

Zindagi bhi kitni ajeeb hoti hai
Humein wapas usi mod pe le aati hai,
Jo galti humne ki kisika dil todke
Ab hum toote, aur woh muskuraate rahe

Dil ke tukde... jodne chale

Hum the jinke sahaare woh humein chod chale
Ek naya saathi liye, nayi manzil ki ore chale
Na yaad aaye woh bachpan ke din, woh jhagde woh pyar,
Bas ek hi pal mein begaana kehkar muh mod chale

Kya rishton ki keemat itni si hi hai
Jab chahe apnaaye jab chahe thukraaye
Vaasta tha jinka humari hi khushiyon se
Aaj unhe is dil ke tukde nazar na aaye

Kaisa yeh dard hai, kaisi yeh bebasi
Dil mein toofan utha, baithi zubaan pe khamoshi
Hum jo na keh sake, woh khud na dekh paaye
Apno ke saath ke bina bematlab hai saari khushi

Waqt hai ab is dil ko behlaane ka
Kuch naye sapne dekhke, unhe sajaane ka
Jo pal beet gaye unhe mudke na dekhenge
Na denge ab kisiko mauka roothne manaane ka

Love is in the air

Love, the most divine feeling that one possesses for another, is arguably the most important subject of film-making.

Just a thought - is Love actually the way it is portrayed in films? Do we feel the same things in real?

Is love in the air, water, and everything around us? Let's have a look.

You smile without any reason, and people label you mad!
You love Red - roses, dresses, etc.
You love dancing in the rain or under the shower!
When listening to romantic songs, you feel you're enjoying running around trees (which you used to detest while watching on screen)!
You wanna look your best to impress him/her every single day!
You love the candle light, the sound of waves, soft lilting music, violins & guitars...
You could dream all day long about that special someone, reaching distant places you'd never thought of going before.
You start liking stuff which you hated before, just 'cause he/she loves it.
You have sleepless nights atleast until you receive a call/msg from him/her.
You wanna share the same glass of juice or the same food plate.
You cant look in the eye & hide your feelings about that special person.
You could even run over fire to save that person!
You enjoy giving & a little appreciation.
You could even become a poet!
You fear nothing when that person is beside you.

Is this all natural? Or is it that it's all just filmy influence? I believe it's all real, and that's how it can be thought of and portrayed on screen! The excitement and dedication that comes out of love is beyond description!

At some point in time, we do wish our life was like that one particular couple on screen. If only things could be as easy, or as dreamy as theirs. But nothing comes easy in life. Gain comes with pain. To ignore the pain for a while, it's good to watch the romance in films and put yourself in their place. So let's enjoy love in real & in reel! :)
